NEWS at NEWSTEAD:

Elvis (Newstead Echoes of Love) thrilled us by going Winners Dog and BOS over six male specials at the Greenville show on Sunday, Feb. 17th. Thanks Sue D. for wonderful handling! He placed second of 24 in his sweeps and regular classes at the ECSCA national in Lancaster, PA beautifully handled by Robin Novack. This boy has us very excited!

Daphne (Ch. Newstead Dark Side of the Moon) was shown beautifully at Westminster Kennel Club by Kirsten McGregor - what a thrill to be in the same ring as the all time winningest ECS, Copper (Ch. Chestnut's Selling the Drama) and watch him take a Group 4 that night! Daphne loved the big city - including the revolving doors at the New Yorker....

Welcome to the home of Newstead English Cocker Spaniels, a small show/hobby kennel located outside of Charlotte, North Carolina.

ECS have been our passion since 1996. In Dec. of that year my husband, sons and I brought home our first ECS, Blackavar Newstead Abbey. In May of 1998 a vibrant eight week old, who would become our foundation bitch, came home with us. Lulu was everything I had dreamed of in an ECS and delighted us by becoming our first champion as well as having two beautiful and healthy litters.

The shock of losing Lulu and her chow-mix buddy Zoe in a house fire in 2003 will never leave me. This website is dedicated to her - my first champion, my bed dog, my heart - Ch. Bellflower Reflection - my Lulu.
